Looking Back at NOWFE - New Orleans
Our recent trip to New Orleans was an opportunity to share Ehret Winery with one of the country's most celebrated food and wine communities. Throughout the week, we joined talented chefs and hospitality partners for exceptional dinners and tastings that showcased the pairing of New Orleans cuisine with our Knights Valley wines.
The week began with an unforgettable four-course dinner at Desi Vega's Steakhouse, where celebrity Chef Muggsy Beals created a menu designed to complement the character of our wines. Guests enjoyed Seafood Ceviche paired with our Sauvignon Blanc, Oxtail Ravioli alongside our Cabernet Sauvignon, Double Cut Colorado Lamb Chop with our Bella's Cabernet Sauvignon, and Flourless Chocolate Cake served with our Zinfandel. It was a wonderful evening celebrating exceptional cuisine, wine, and New Orleans hospitality.
We continued the celebration at Ye Olde College Inn, where Chef Johnny Blancher presented a five-course menu inspired by classic New Orleans flavors. The evening featured pairings that included Oyster Blues served with our Sauvignon Blanc, Crawfish Boil Potato Soup with our Zinfandel, Grilled Louisiana Shrimp with our Merlot, Bistro Filet paired with our Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Fried Bread Pudding Po-Boy served alongside our Bella's Cabernet Sauvignon, creating a wonderful expression of regional cuisine and Knights Valley wines.

The Southern Yacht Club's Grill Out event brought together great food, waterfront views, and an enthusiastic community of food and wine lovers. We were delighted to pour our wines throughout the event and connect with guests at one of New Orleans' most iconic gathering places. The week concluded at the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience Grand Tasting, where wineries from around the world gathered alongside many of the city's finest chefs. It was a fitting conclusion to the week, giving us the opportunity to introduce our wines to passionate enthusiasts while celebrating the culinary traditions that make New Orleans such a remarkable destination. Thank you to Chef Muggsy Beals, Chef Johnny Blancher, the Southern Yacht Club, the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, and all of our hosts, partners, and guests for making this week so special.
